RPA will participate to elections with several images

ArmInfo.The ruling Republican Party of Armenia is intended to hold transparent pre-electoral race without being involved in any disputes and manipulations with opponents, Armen Ashotyan, the Deputy Chairman of the party stated on February  27  at a press conference in Yerevan. 

According to him, the upcoming elections will be competitive not only  in respect to the  political streams participating but also in  respect to the consideration of various political positions  represented by those. He thinks the  electoral race participants  are  trying to harmonize their political ambitions to the  public  requirements.  

  " At the upcoming elections the RPA competitors will be not the  political powers but the package of problems that we are intended to  solve," he accentuated. As the main problems he mentioned the  security issues and the  economic development. In this context  Ashotyan accentuated that RPA will go for elections with several  images: security represented by  President Serzh Sargsyan, economic  development represented by  Prime Minister Karen Karen Karapetyan,  and the consolidation of all the RPA.

 Ashotyan  referred also to latest incidents in Ararat and Aragatsotn  districts, where the followers of different rating list based  candidates  have beaten each other. According to Ashotyan, the fair  competition should be encouraged, and the unfair one should be  estimated properly. " The victory is important for us, but the  quality of the elections is over that importance. Hence, RPA will  follow the law's letter," he noted. 

 The RPA Deputy Head  assured also that the pre-electoral race could  not become a reason to lose the attention at the border, which is  expected by Azerbaijan, initiating new provocations. " Despite the  RPA list is headed by Armenian Defense Minister, we  monitor the  situation at the border attentively," he mentioned.
