916 trees were illegally cut down in Ijevan forest - environmental  damage amounted to 35.18 million AMD

ArmInfo. The environment of Armenia was damaged in the amount of 36.24 million. This became known during the inspections carried out by the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia in the period from August 14 to August 18.

As the press service of the Ministry of Ecology told ArmInfo, 7 acts  amounting to 410 thousand AMD were made and the damage to the  environment in the amount of 35.63 million was counted. The  department notes that 916 trees were illegally cut down in the Ijevan  forest - environmental damage amounted to 35018.0 thousand AMD. In  the Lori region, 6 trees were illegally cut in the amount of 100.0  thousand AMD, two acts were drawn up and the total damage amounted to  277.5 thousand AMD. It is also noted that two acts were compiled in  the Lori region in connection with the destruction of the Red Book  water lilies in the amount of 27 pieces - the damage amounted to  160.0 thousand. A few more cases of illegal tree cutting were  recorded in Lori, Tavush, Kotayk, Gegharkunik regions. In general,  1.1 million AMD were received as a result of administrative fines in  the state budget of Armenia.
