Cardiologist of Ararat territorial commission for conscription  charged in the death of serviceman Suren Movsisyan

ArmInfo. The Investigation Committee of Armenia has completed preliminary investigation into the criminal case on the death of the mandatory soldier Suren Movsisyan.  The accusation in this case was brought to the cardiologist of the  Ararat territorial commission for conscription.

According to Armenian IC press service, the signal about the death of  Movsisyan was received on May 29, 2016, his condition deteriorated  sharply in the control center of the artillery unit of the Nth  military unit.  Movsisyan died on the way to the military hospital.  According to the forensic medical examination, Suren Movsisyan died  of cardiovascular insufficiency and pulmonary edema During the  investigation, Armenian IC found that during the summer conscription  in 2015, with mandatory examination in the polyclinic of the Ararat  Medical Center, during the ECG check, Movsisyan found acute  cardiovascular disorders. However, the Cardiologist of the Ararat  Territorial Commission on Conscription did not send S.Movsisyan to  the cardiac inpatient clinic for more additional examination.  Instead, on the basis of an incomplete medical examination, the  cardiologist concluded that Movsisyan is fit to serve in the army. As  a result, being sick with a serious cardiological disease, on July  26, 2015 Movsisyan was called up for compulsory military service.

Based on the collected evidence, the cardiologist of the Ararat  territorial commission for conscription was charged under part 2 of  Article 315 of Armenian Criminal Code. The indictment on this  criminal case was sent to the court.
