French Ambassador finishes diplomatic mission in Armenia

ArmInfo.The scientific and practical conference "French Health Days in Armenia", organized by the French Embassy in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Armenia, will be held in Yerevan on July 6-7 at the Government Reception House .The main goal of the event is the exchange of experience in the field of modern medical technologies , Both in treatment and in diagnosis.

ArmInfo.The French Sanofi Group of Companies, the Ministry of Health of Armenia and the World Association of Social Psychiatry have united to provide the citizens  of the country with better access to the treatment of mental  disorders. The program, with a duration of three years, aims to  provide medical care to people suffering from schizophrenia and deep  depression, is designed to significantly reduce the level of these  diseases. The program is based on the principles of public-private  partnership. According to Jean-Francois Charpentier, the Ambassador  of France to Armenia, who was present at the launch of the program,  noted that the Armenian-French partnership in the field of healthcare  is one of the priorities. He informed that this year, with the  assistance of Business France and the Ministry of Health of Armenia,  the days of France will be held in Armenia, where further issues of  cooperation in this sphere will be discussed and new horizons for  cooperation will open.

ArmInfo. The French Ambassador to  Armenia, Jean-Francois Charpentier, in no way doubts the fruitful  cooperation as a result of the meetings of the Armenian side with  potential business partners from Paris, Lyon and Marseilles within  the framework of an investment forum held in Paris in late February.  He stated this on May 3 at the closure of the EU twinning program  "Strengthening the institutional capacities of investment policy and  stimulating investments in Armenia", implemented in Armenia from  October 15, 2015 to May 3, 2017.

ArmInfo.France continues to attach great importance to business relations' development between Armenia and Turkey, Jean-Francois Charpentier, France Ambassador tyo Armenia stated during the meeting with Armenian and Turkish  businessmen. With EU financial support, together with Angel Labs  Californian company Armenian-Turkish business-forum took place on May  2 in Yerevan, dedicated to make inroads between the two countries  with the help of business. Turkish Economy policy investigation fund  also came up as one of the organizers. 

ArmInfo.The upcoming parliamentary elections are of fundamental importance for Armenia, and why not, for France, just as for the EU and the international  community. French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier  said this in an interview with Azatutyun, answering the question  whether the Armenian-European relations will suffer if the elections  in Armenia do not meet the expectations of Europe.

ArmInfo.France as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group spares no effort in imparting momentum to the dynamics of the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh  settlement. French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier  stated this in an interview with Azatutyun.

The level of French possession  in Armenia decreased after gaining independence, French  Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier stated during the press-conference in Yerevan on March 14.  According to him Armenian   friends speak French, and the level of possession of the language  generates respect. " However, I am worried not about the quality of  language possession but about the quantity-today the number of French  learners is sensibly less  than it was 20 years ago. It is  conditioned with the fact that in general educative schools French  turned to second plan after Armenia gained independence. And this is  problem. Though we can state that  during recent 4 years  in Yerevan  we  had changes in this respect," the Diplomat said. He emphasized at  that France today aims to recover lost positions and to take its  niche again. According to the Diplomat French University brings  serious assistance in spreading French in Armenia.

ArmInfo. France is a supporter of peaceful regulation of Naghorno-Karabakh conflict through peace talks, French Ambassador to Armenia Jan-Francois Charpentier stated  during the press-conference in Yerevan on March 14.
