In November this year, the third meeting of the Armenian-Kuwaiti intergovernmental commission will be held in Yerevan, in connection with which it is necessary to prepare for this event today. On January 31, during the meeting with Kuwait's Ambassador to Armenia Nawaf Abdul Aziz Al-Enezi , the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development David Lokyan stated.

According to him, according to the press service of the department, in the process of preparing for the third meeting of the intergovernmental commission, it is necessary to connect all departments and the private sector. "We must set ourselves the task of increasing bilateral trade turnover and bringing economic ties to a qualitatively new level," the minister said. He stressed that numerous documents have been signed between the two states, which can become a basis for active cooperation in various fields.

In his turn, Kuwait Ambassador also stated that bilateral economic ties are not at the proper level. He assured the Armenian Minister of the readiness of his country to develop trade and economic relations with Armenia. "We also attach importance to the active work of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two states, I am in constant contact with representatives of the Kuwait Investment Fund who are ready to cooperate with the Armenian authorities in order to invest in any sphere," the diplomat said.

Davit Lokyan presented his guest with proposals on the implementation of real programs in such areas as agriculture, fish farming, construction of small reservoirs, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, tourism, etc. He said that the package of proposals after discussions with the Prime Minister will be presented to the Kuwaiti side. "We are ready to come up with proposals and cooperate with the Kuwait Investment Fund on such principles that will be mutually beneficial. I think that it is necessary to move on to concrete steps and practical discussions in order to come up with certain results to the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission," David Lokyan said. He called before the November meeting of the commission to continue discussions and establish a clear timetable for the work.
