ArmInfo. The founder of the Center for Strategic Analysis of Georgia (GSAC) Nodar Kharshiladze is not too optimistic about the change of power in Armenia.
According to him, there are internal and external reasons for this. Kharshiladze believes that the situation in Armenia can develop or similar to the "Arab spring", or nothing will change. He declares that the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan was a pre-planned step, and he will try to maintain political power.
"Within the clan system, where there are several groups, these groups are represented by both the Armenian internal elite, the so-called "group of Karabakhis", and the group of the Moscow diaspora, which is politically and economically directly connected with Russia, and today they rule Armenia. The people protested against this, but Serzh's resignation at this stage was a tactical step," said the founder of the GSAC, transmitting Georgia online.
Kharshiladze believes that even if to appoint new elections in Armenia, the opposition will be very difficult to win, since the administrative resource is still in the hands of the authorities. In his words, Russia will give up the role of the supernumerary, and unofficially join in the elections of Armenia.
