Artsakh Defense Army calls to refrain from any artificial and  dangerous steps to aggravate situation in the Republic

ArmInfo.In the Defense Army of Artsakh, concerned about the processes that take place in the republic after the incident involving the participation of employees  of the National Security Service on June 1 in Stepanakert.

"The incident on domestic soil that occurred in Stepanakert on June  1, unfortunately, received a serious public response, taking into  account the fact that any processes in the rear near the front, even  the smallest ones, that could affect the security of people, and the  situation on border, the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region is  concerned about further, subsequent processes, considering the  supremacy of the law for every citizen, I consider it unacceptable  and condemn any use of force artificial-singular and dangerous steps  to exacerbate the situation in our country, which is constantly  forced to confront external threats and perceived solution to the  problem exclusively in the legal field, "- said in a statement of the  NKR.

Meanwhile, the Artsakh parliament reported that in connection with  the current situation, a commission of inquiry was set up in the  National Assembly of the NKR, which will study the issues of public  importance.

After that, protests began in Stepanakert. Demonstrators demanded the  resignation of the heads of all law enforcement agencies. On June 3,  an "anti-meeting" was convened at the Renaissance Square in  Stepanakert. President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan held a meeting on  June 2, which was attended by members of the Security Council, deputy  chairman, faction leaders and representatives of the standing  committees of the National Assembly. A number of issues related to  the incident that took place on June 1 in the capital were discussed.  The head of state noted the need for an appropriate detailed  investigation and stressed that the perpetrators should be held  accountable in the manner prescribed by law. Bako Sahakyan emphasized  that maintaining stability and legality in the country, ensuring the  security of borders are exceptional values for our people and the  entire Armenian community.

According to the situation in Artsakh, the first president of  Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, stressed the danger of the recurrence  of events in Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh. He also considered it  unacceptable to dismiss the heads of the security agencies of  Artsakh, since this could weaken the position of the republic in  front of an external enemy.

Another member of ARF Dashnaktsutyun party, former deputy premier of  Artsakh Arthur Aghabekyan also expressed his concern about the  situation, which, in connection with possible dangerous consequences  of the development of events, considered necessary the interference  of the Armenian authorities in the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. "I  think it would be correct if the Armenian authorities sent a  delegation to Artsakh," Aghabekyan said.
