Manvel Grigoryan`s lawyer refused to conduct his case

ArmInfo.. The lawyer of the Republican deputy, the head of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, General Manvel Grigoryan, Hrant Ananyan refuses to continue his case. He  stated on his Facebook page.

According to the lawyer, yesterday's speech by the Prime Minister, as  well as the video, distributed by the National Security Service of  Armenia, was a surprise to him. As Ananyan notes, having undertaken  the case, in addition to suspicions about the storage of weapons and  ammunition, he was not informed of other circumstances of the charge.  Even the body of preliminary investigation did not express such  suspicions and did not present materials about it. "In the current  conditions, I think it is inappropriate to continue to protect Manvel  Grigoryan, and, on my proposal and with the consent of M. Grigoryan  (which is an imperative of the law), the preliminary investigation  authority recorded this fact a little earlier, and I ceased to be his  lawyer," wrote Grant Ananyan.

On June 16, the National Security Service of Armenia detained MP of  the Armenian Parliament from RPA, General Manvel Grigoryan. During  the searches, the NSS officers found and seized a large number of  weapons and ammunition; in addition, a large arsenal of unregistered  weapons, up to the mortars, rations for soldiers collected by  schoolchildren, and even ambulances and army ATVs were found in the  mansion and at the country house.

The evening before, after almost 5 hours of discussion, the court of  the administrative districts of Avan and Nork-Marash declared his  detention justified - Manvel Grigoryan remains in custody until he is  officially charged within 72 hours of his arrest. After the trial,  Hrant Ananyan told reporters that the bodies of the preliminary  investigation did not present evidence of Manvel Grigoryan's  participle in the court proceedings for misappropriation and theft of  aid to servicemen, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
