Nikol Pashinyan: Our priority is to establish the rule of law in  Armenia

ArmInfo.Establishing legality in Armenia is our top priority, and the Police plays a key role in achieving this goal. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on  July 20 during a meeting of the Police Collegium.

Pashinyan noted that the police should be a pioneer in the fight  against crime. "As a result of the work of the Police, we must fix a  concrete reduction in the level of crime in the republic," Pashinyan  said.

Another of the most important tasks of the police, Pashinyan  considered combating corruption. "I can be pleased to note that in  recent days we have received information that gives grounds to state  that as a result of the work of the police, a noticeable shift is  visible in this sphere," he said, while reiterating that hunting for  "witch hunts" is not will be.

Pashinyan said that there are two parallel realities in Armenia. "One  reality includes the Constitution and laws, the other - outside the  Constitution and laws," the prime minister said, stressing that the  task of the police is to unite these two realities within the  framework of the RA law.

The next issue raised by the head of government concerned public  order and security. The Premier stressed that there are not any  special problems in this sphere and should not be, as after the  revolution, the atmosphere of "peace and love" was established in  Armenia. "It is possible that serious structural changes will take  place, and unambiguously, the division into" ours and yours "in the  structure should be ruled out, the goal of the changes taking place  in the country is to exclude such division," Pashinyan said.

In conclusion, the Chief of Police of Armenia Valery Osipyan stated:  "The police will carry out their tasks at the proper level and with  spirit."
