Pashinyan on the acquisition of weapons: we agreed that the supply of  Russian weapons will continue systematically 

ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia agreed that the supply of Russian weapons will continue  systematically. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashyan said in an interview with "Kommersant" in response to a question about whether there are any specific agreements with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the issue of procurement of weapons from Russia.  

At the same time, he noted that the armament will be bought on credit: "Yes, on  credit, we will discuss other possibilities, this is very important  cooperation, and I think we will have no problems in this field."

Answering to clarifying question that specific agreements, including  military contracts, should be signed during the official visit by  Pashinyan to Moscow or Vladimir Putin to Armenia, the Armenian prime  minister said: "I meant that now we stated that we have agreed on the  main issues of the development of relations. Now we have to work on  specific agreements and sign them. We have agreed that will work on  certain (agreements. - Kommersant noted) on gas, on cooperation in  the field of nuclear energy, military- technical cooperation. "

To remind, according to the Armenian-Russian agreement on granting   Armenia a 200-million loan, for this amount the Armed Forces of the   republic purchased multiple rocket launchers 9K58 Smerch, IGLA air  defense system,  passive electronic intelligence complex Avtobaza-M,  fire-fighting  systems TOS-1A "Solntsepek", armored vehicles "Tiger",  anti-tank  missile systems "Contest-M", antitank grenade launchers  RPG-26, small  arms, engines and sights for T-72 and IFV tanks,  communications  equipment, engineering equipment, Kamaz ".  The   agreement on granting credit was signed in 2015 on preferential  terms - Yerevan will start to repay the loan with a 3% rate in rubles  only in 2018 for 10 years, and an advance  payment of only 10%. Thus,  taking into account  the continuing devaluation of the Russian  currency, as well as the  republic's membership in the CSTO, which  allows buying weapons at  domestic prices, for $ 200 million Armenia  can acquire a significant amount of Russian arms.
