SNB uncovers a 10-year-old crime involving ex-MP Levon Sargsyan

ArmInfo.The National Security Service of Armenia fully disclosed the crime of 10 years ago with the participation of ex-deputy of the RA parliament Levon  Sargsyan.

This, in particular, is a robbery attack on the house of the former  head of the RA Customs Committee Armen Avetisyan.

As stated in the message of the National Security Service, Sarkisyan  is the customer of this crime and is on the international wanted  list, since he has been outside Armenia for a long time. In his  respect, arrest was elected in absentia as a preventive measure.

Back in 2009, the National Security Service reported on the  disclosure of sensational, especially grave crimes committed by  members of a criminal group created by the founder of the World of  Shoes Company Ara Karapetyan and former deputy head of the Nork  police department Armen Nikoghosyan. They also have a robbery on the  mansion of the former head of the State Customs Committee of Armenia  Armen Avetisyan.

The criminal case, initiated on this fact, with the indictment was  sent to the court, and in May 2011 a verdict was issued to 10 members  of the criminal group, who received terms of up to 15 years in  prison.  As a result of the recent large-scale operational search  activities and investigative actions undertaken, it was possible to  find out the name of the real customer of the attack on the Avetisyan  mansion. "According to preliminary data, he was a former member of  the National Assembly of Armenia Levon Sargsyan, better known by the  nickname" Alrahatsi Levik. "While in tense relations with Armen  Avetisyan, he ordered the members of the criminal group who had  already committed a number of robberies, the aforementioned crime,"  says SNB report.

It is noted that Alrahatsi Levik, through his relative SK, who had  direct contact with Avetisyan, who worked with him and knows the  structure of the mansion of the latter, purchased and provided the  group with a detailed scheme of the house, with notes on the location  of the safes. After the robbery, Sargsyan took part of the loot he  liked, in particular, jewelry and expensive watches.

"In the criminal case initiated in October 2018 based on the above  data, searches were conducted in Levon Sargsyan's mansion and  apartment, as a result of which weapons and ammunition were found.   Comprehensive examinations were appointed to verify the use of  weapons and in other crimes," in the message.  Levon Sargsyan found  guilty. The indictment was also brought against the relative of the  former deputy S.K. he is arrested.
