Yerevan: Nagorno-Karabakh is a party to the conflict and should have  more direct involvement in the settlement process

ArmInfo. Armenia's foreign policy is strictly Armenian- oriented. On October 15, during his speech at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership  countries, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said.

At the same time, he agreed with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar  Mammadyarov that the dynamics of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement  showed a good dynamic of meetings, stating that they had two meetings  during the past 5 months, in addition, a meeting was held between the  Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan that also  contributed to the positive dynamics. "And we intend to continue to  strengthen it. Certainly, in Armenia soon, most likely, in December,  elections will be held. At the same time, it is important to keep the  focus on the formation and promotion of an atmosphere conducive to  peace, which includes a number of elements: confidence building  measures, including the implementation of previously reached  agreements, measures to reduce the risk of exacerbation of the  situation. We should focus on these issues and make real efforts to  prepare the populations of all parties for peace. The top priority is  the rejection of military rhetoric and hate propaganda, "the Armenian  minister stressed.

Mnatsakanyan assured that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh and security  is a priority of Armenia.  According to him, Nagorno-Karabakh is a  party to the conflict, with a decisive voice in the settlement  process, and should have a more direct involvement. "We are certainly  talking about this. And since it is soon fulfilling 10 years from the  date of the Eastern Partnership, we must pay attention not to repeat  past mistakes and to keep the essence of the initiative, first of  all, the partnership of people aimed at improving our lives in our  countries and the upbringing of our societies, "said the Armenian  Foreign Minister.
