Head of RPA: If the Republican Party takes part in elections, then it  will be a format of radical constructive opposition

ArmInfo. Republican Party of Armenia ready to be a minority in parliament. On this October 26 at a briefing in the National Assembly of Armenia said the head of the  Republican Party faction Vahram Baghdasaryan.

He noted that in the near future the Republican Party of Armenia will  make public its decision on whether it will participate in early  parliamentary elections or not. Baghdasaryan stated that the RPA list  will be political. "As for who will head the list of the faction,  it's too early to say," said Baghdasaryan, without specifying the  issue of the possibility of leadership of the party's list, Serzh  Sargsyan.

"Our list will certainly be political, which should correspond to our  role as an opposition. For us, never it was an end in itself to be  represented in parliament, be a majority or be in power. Political  forces must be prepared for the fact that they can be both the  government and the opposition, "said the head of the RPA faction,  noting that party representatives are ready to be a minority in  parliament." If we join the parliament, then with the intention to  express our opinion and restore your face. We will be a radical and  constructive opposition, "concluded Baghdasaryan. At the same time,  the head of the Republican Party expressed his disagreement with the  rush to hold elections, because it does not give the parties and  blocs sufficient time to prepare.

In turn, the secretary of the ''Tsarukyan Bloc'' faction Vahe  Enfiajyan stated that the head of the bloc Gagik Tsarukyan should  head the list of the ''Tsarukyan ''faction. He said that for him and  for other representatives of the faction, political activity in  parliament is not an end in itself. "We will take any decision of the  bloc," said Enfiajyan. As for the place the party claims, the  secretary of ''Tsarukyan'' Bloc stated that he does not understand  the representatives of the political forces that are going to the  polls, counting on third or fourth place. "If any political force has  decided to participate in the elections, it should make up its  electoral program as clearly and as possible, correctly campaign and  convince people that they should be expressed, which we intend to do.  Of course the final decision will be made only by citizens Armenia,  and we will take any decision of them, however, we have a great human  resources and a good program, we hope that we will not disappoint our  people, "said Enfiajyan.

The secretary of the ''Yelk'' faction Gevorg Georgisyan noted that  the Enlightened Armenia and the Republic parties will take part in  the early elections in the format of the ''Luys'' bloc and expect to  take second place in parliament.  As for the statement of the Deputy  President of the Parliament, Eduard Sharmazanov, that the  representatives of the ''Luys'' bloc are supporters of Pashinyan and  will become his pocket opposition, Georgisyan said that such  statements are ridiculous. "Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  himself would have laughed at such conversations. The Republican  Party tried to control the opposition, now it measures everything  with its yardstick. However, no one will rule us," the deputy  assured.

Head of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" faction Armen Rustamyan stated that  the party will go to early elections independently. "Dashnaktsutyun  is one of the oldest parties of Armenia, with its values and  foundations, therefore, we will go to early elections on our own, and  we believe that this is the best format.  We have our own opinion,  our own point of view and some concerns on a number of political  issues. We have something to say and what to do, the ARF  "Dashnaktsutyun" party, as the opposition, will take part in the  early elections to the National Assembly of Armenia ", concluded  Rustamyan.

To note the early parliamentary elections are scheduled for December  2018.
