Acting Prime Minister: I did not violate anyone`s presumption of  innocence

ArmInfo. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that he has not violated the presumption of innocence. On October 27, he told this answering to a question about  his statement in parliament about the possibility of bringing to  justice one of the MPs of the National Assembly.

To note, on October 24, Nikol Pashinyan stated in the Armenian  parliament that the case on the largest bribe in the history of the  Third Republic was opened, and one of the MPs of the National  Assembly will be arrested in this case. "The same people say that the  Prime Minister stopped fighting corruption and began to carry out  dark deals. For 20 years, the former authorities have asked me to  make a similar deal with them, "he said, adding that he did not  violate the presumption of innocence by his words. "And when it is  stated that there is corruption in Armenia, there was corruption and  corruption was encouraged and was associated with the higher strata  of society, do these statements also violate someone's presumption of  innocence or not? In both cases, no names are mentioned, if someone  is brought in as a suspect, it means there are grounds for this which  will be open and transparent, "the acting Prime Minister stated.   Commenting on the question how he is familiar with the details of the  cases under investigation, if the investigating body does not notify  him, Pashinyan said that the NSS is an accountable structure to the  prime minister and when it takes operational actions, this is  reported to the Prime Minister. On the question of which faction the  deputy in the case of bribery is in, the prime minister said: "You  are talking about the presumption of innocence. Are you my  accomplices, or are you pushing me to disclose the data?", Pashinyan  asked a rhetorical question.
