Armen Ashotyan about calling Shakhnazaryan in the National Security  Service: Repressions of the new authorities will not force RPA  representatives to shut up

ArmInfo.The new leadership of Armenia applies reprisals against representatives of the Republican Party of Armenia. The Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of  Armenia Armen Ashotyan told ArmInfo's correspondent that one of the  candidates from the Republican Party of Armenia David Shahnazaryan  was summoned to the National Security Service in connection with his  recent statements.

Ashotyan also noted that, in spite of all the repressions of the new  government, this will not make the RPA representatives silence and  stop spreading the truth.

Asked by ArmInfo's correspondent about how right it was for  Shakhnazaryan to make such statements without presenting actual  evidence of his words, in the context of the unresolved Karabakh  conflict, heating up the situation during the pre-election period,  Ashotyan said: "So far''.

The third number of the proportional list of the Republican Party,  the former head of the MNS, David Shahnazaryan, today is invited to  the National Security Service to give explanations in connection with  earlier statements that the current government of Armenia pursues the  "Artsakh in exchange for power" policy and presents actual evidence  confirming the truth this statement, as Shakhnazaryan himself  promised.  According to the National Security Service, Shahnazaryan,   in fact, accuses the Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in state  treason.  To note, in recent days, Shakhnazaryan has repeatedly made  a statement that the current government of Armenia is implementing  the program "Artsakh in exchange for power", and the words of  Acting  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's team-mate Sasun Mikaelyan that the  May revolution is more important than the Artsakh victory should be  considered in the context of this policy. "I promise that you will be  convinced of this. There is a lot of things, but today I will not  present all the facts confirming the anti-Armenian policy of the  current authorities," Shahnazaryan said. Taking into account the fact  that Armenia is the guarantor of the security of Artsakh, as well as  the fact that Shahnazaryan's statements contain possible signs of  treason, the National Security Service considers the validity of a  criminal case to this effect.
