Acting Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Araik Harutyunyan  intends to remain in Cabinetof Ministers

ArmInfo. "I love my work very  much," on December 20 Acting Minister of Education and Science of  Armenia, Araik Harutyunyan declared to reporters in response to the  question whether he wants to engage in lawmaking.

According to Harutyunyan, the "My step" bloc has not yet determined  the composition of the future government.

To recall, yesterday, the "My step" bloc held a meeting at the hotel  "Armenia Marriott". Following the meeting, Alen Simonyan, a member of  the Civil Contract party's board, a member of the "Yelk" bloc, told  reporters that the "My Step" bloc would nominate Ararat Mirzoyan for  the post of Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia. Lena  Nazaryan and Alen Simonyan are nominated for the post of Deputy  Speakers.  The candidacy of Culture Minister Lilit Makunts as the  head of the faction of the "My step" bloc was also approved. Alen  Simonyan assured that the information that inside the bloc was  dissatisfied with the appointment of Makunts was not true. Hakob  Shimidyan will be appointed secretary of the faction. The issue of  the heads of the commissions was also discussed, but Alen Simonyan  did not give names.  According to him, board members voted  unanimously, there was only one abstention. The question of the  members of the government has not yet been resolved definitively. As  reported the Minister of Diaspora Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, he will leave  the ranks of the new government and take the post of chairman of the  parliamentary commission. According to Hayrapetyan, he will be  entrusted with the leadership of the commission on education, culture  and the Diaspora. In general, Hayrapetyan added, the issue of closing  the Ministry of Diaspora is now being discussed.

To note, earlier the media wrote that the issue of uniting the  ministries of education and science, sports and youth, the Diaspora  and culture into one department is being discussed. The current  Acting Minister of Education and Science Araik Harutyunyan will head  this new ministry, according to the information. What other state  agencies will be reduced or optimized will be known very soon, but as  Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said earlier, from 18  ministries, will remain 12 .
