Within framework of E-FIX program, ACBA Leasing held a master class on the theme "Development of energy efficiency in Armenia"

ArmInfo.  ACBA Leasing, within the framework of the E-FIX grant program of the EU Research and Innovation Project Horizon 2020, organized and conducted a master class on the theme "Development of energy efficiency in Armenia". The press service of the company told ArmInfo that the main speaker was E-FIX program manager Andreas Karner.

The purpose of the master class is to familiarize representatives of companies engaged in the sale of energy-efficient, solar and renewable energy equipment in Armenia with modern financing mechanisms for energy efficiency programs, as well as discuss ideas for implementing new projects through leasing.

"Innovative solutions for financing the development of clean energy should be developed for the long term.  This will help people and businesses not only save money, but also contribute to climate change mitigation.  As a long-term priority, ACBA Leasing, as part of its Green Leasing sub-brand, developed an effective financing product to stimulate investment in energy-saving projects. Thanks to these innovative mechanisms, new financial solutions can be found today, " - E-FIX program manager Andreas Karner noted in his speech.

To note, the three-year E-FIX grant program of the EU research and innovation project Horizon 2020 was launched in 2018.  This program aims to stimulate private sector investment in energy-saving projects.  Armenia is represented in this program by a member of the ACBA-Credit Agricole financial group, the leader of the leasing market in the republic is the ACBA Leasing company. ACBA Leasing is the first leasing company in Armenia, founded in 2003. The holder of a 100% stake in ACBA Leasing is the Armenian ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank.  According to the Ranking of Armenian loan companies prepared by ArmInfo IC, the volume of leasing operations of ACBA Leasing company exceeded by April 1, 2019 16.7 billion drams ($ 34.4 million), with an annual growth of 28.9%. The share of ACBA Leasing in the total volume of leasing operations of banks and credit companies reaches 80%.
