Ankara criticized the House of Representatives for the resolution on  the Armenian Genocide and rejected it

ArmInfo. The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the adoption by the US House of Representatives of a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide.  This is stated in a statement published on the agency's website.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also personally spoke on  this issue, who condemned the resolution of the US House of  Representatives on the events of 1915 in the Ottoman state. "Attempts  to use historical events for political purposes are unacceptable and  shameful. Such decisions have no significance for the authorities and  the people of Turkey. The resolution, sponsored by Adam Schiff and Gus Bilirakis, was  introduced in April of this year and aimed at denying the refusal of  the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Empire in 1915, recognition and  mention of the Armenian Genocide by the US government, the importance  of raising awareness of the Armenian Genocide in terms of preventing  such crimes further.
