Dariga Nazarbayeva: The development of economic relations and trade  corridors between Armenia and Kazakhstan is one of the priority tasks

ArmInfo.Armenia has a very clear idea that partners and allies at different international platforms should take into account each other's interests. This was stated by  Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan during a  meeting with the parliamentary delegation of Kazakhstan, which  arrived in Yerevan today, headed by Chairperson of the Senate of the  Republic of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva.

During the meeting, Mirzoyan expressed confidence that the visit of  the Chairperson of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan will give  a new impetus to relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, which are  actively developing, both in a bilateral format and within the  framework of general integration associations.

"Armenia is interested in deepening cooperation with Kazakhstan,  based on the mutual interests of our countries and peoples. It is  gratifying to note that our relations are developing in almost all  directions. Inter- parliamentary cooperation plays a very important  role in the development of our relations. I also want to note that  there is a positive trend in our economic relations", the President  of the Armenian parliament noted.  He also touched upon the  cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan within the framework of  the CSTO, noting that the interests of the two countries should be  taken into account by both parties and be agreed upon, which,  according to Mirzoyan, would be in line with the allied spirit of the  bilateral relations between Yerevan and Nur-Sultan.  "There are  sensitive issues for our countries. First of all, on the part of  Armenia, I would like to raise the issue of the Karabakh conflict. In  Armenia, there is a very clear idea that partners and allies at  different international platforms should take into account each  other's interests in such matters, too,'' he emphasized.

Mirzoyan also noted the importance of humanitarian and cultural  cooperation between the countries, expressing appreciation that the  Armenians living in Kazakhstan have the opportunity to contribute to  the economic and social development of the country.

The Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of  Kazakhstan called the relations between the two countries fraternal,  noting that the two peoples have much in common in culture and  language.

"This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of  diplomatic relations, over these 20 years a new page has been opened  in the history of our two countries. This is a big event, and a  reason to be proud of by both of us", Nazarbayeva said.  According to  the Chairperson of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the  development of economic relations and trade corridors between Armenia  and Kazakhstan is one of the priority tasks of bilateral cooperation.  "Trade between our countries is very actively developing. Of course,  we always want a little more. We spoke about transport corridors,  about facilitating trade between our countries, in order to provide  entrepreneurs of both republics with the opportunity to actively  develop these relations", Nazarbayeva emphasized.  The Chairperon of  the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan also thanked the Armenian  side for the fact that Kazakh scientists were given access to the  Institute of Ancient Manuscripts of Matenadaran, where they can use  the rich base in the form of medieval sources to study the history of  the Eurasian region.  After the meeting, Dariga Nazarbayeva and the  speaker of the Armenian parliament planted a fir tree in the National  Assembly park as a sign of friendship between the countries.  Dargin  Nazarbayev will also be received by the Prime Minister of Armenia  Nikol Pashinyan and President Armen Sarkissian.
