ARMENAL received a certificate of international environmental  management standard ISO 14001: 2015

ArmInfo. Yerevan foil rolling plant ARMENAL (part of RUSAL) is the first of industrial enterprises of Armenia that have successfully passed certification  for compliance with the international environmental management  standard ISO 14001: 2015.

This decision was made on the basis of an audit conducted by one of  the largest world certification companies DNV-GL.

"Obtaining the ISO 14001: 2015 certificate creates an opportunity for  the development of new markets, testifies to the reduction of the  environmental impact of production and confirms the efficient  fulfillment by our factory of the requirements of the republican  environmental legislation," said Vahe Tamazyan, head of the  department of labor protection, industrial safety and ecology of  ARMENAL.

ARMENAL was established in May 2000 on the basis of the Kanaker  Aluminum Plant, is one of the largest industrial enterprises in  Armenia and the only producer of aluminum foil in the Caucasus and  Central Asia.
