May Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia be recalled again?

ArmInfo. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba or his father Ivan, who is Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia, may be dismissed from the Ministry due to a conflict of  interest. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said this in an interview  with "European Truth".  In December, Ivan Kuleba, the father of the  minister, was appointed Ambassador to Armenia. Prior to that, he  served as ambassador of Ukraine to Kazakhstan.

Dmitry Kuleba noted that he had informed about the existence of a  conflict of interest and was now awaiting the conclusion of the  department. He assured that regardless of the conclusion of the  agency, he will strictly adhere to Ukrainian legislation.  "They will  say that the next step is to make decree on the dismissal of my  father from office or to submit my latter of resignation we'll talk  with my father and if he insists, I will submit it, but if not, I  will recall him," said Dmitry Kuleba.

To note, over the past few years, Armenia is simply unlucky with the  Ambassadors of Ukraine. So, in 2015, after Petro Poroshenko came to  power,  then Ambassador Ivan Kukhta was recalled, and for almost  three years Ukraine has not appointed a diplomat to Armenia.

Only in June 2018,  then president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko  decided on the candidacy of the Ambassador and Petro Litvin was sent  to Armenia by his decree, but not for long. With the advent of  Volodymyr Zelensky to power, Litvin was recalled from his post.

Ivan Kuleba was appointed Ambassador to Armenia in December 2019  alone. Prior to this, Kuleba served as Ambassador of Ukraine to  Kazakhstan.

Kuleba is a career diplomat (born in 1953), a native of Poltava  region. From 1997 to 2000 he was the Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt.  In 2003-2004, he served as Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine. From  2004 to 2009 he was the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic.
