Artsakh Foreign Minister appealed to CoE Secretary regarding ongoing  act of aggression against his country unleashed by Turkey and  Azerbaijan

Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilian sent an official letter to  Secretary General of the Council of Europe  Marija Pejcinovic Buric regarding ongoing  act of aggression against Republic of Artsakh unleashed by Turkey and  Azerbaijan, with active involvement of mercenaries from terrorist  organisations from Middle East.The NKR Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo  about this.

In the letter, in particular, it is pointed out that Azerbaijan has  violated the basic obligation, taken when joining the Council of  Europe, to reach a settlement of the Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict  exclusively by peaceful means. Mayilian also informed Secretary  General Buric of the gross and massive violations by Azerbaijan of  the undertaken obligations related to ensuring the right to life.

The letter also emphasizes that Turkey is equally responsible for  initiating and fomenting a new military confrontation on the  territory of the Council of Europe, as well as recruiting and  dispatching mercenaries from terrorist organizations in the Middle  East to participate in hostilities against the Republic of Artsakh.

In his letter, Masis Mayilian called on the Council of Europe to use  all its capabilities to immediately end the unjustified violence  against the civilian population of Artsakh, as well as the massive  human rights violations and ongoing war crimes occurring within the  Council of Europe's jurisdiction.
