Analyst: Turkey`s strategy does not end  with the South Caucasus 

ArmInfo.Turkey does not allow Ilham Aliyev to implement the agreements reached in Moscow on establishing the ceasefire regime. A similar opinion was expressed to  ArmInfo by the chairman of the Public Council of Armenia, analyst  Stepan Safaryan.

"Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu practically openly  explained to his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov and Ilham  Aliyev that Baku should observe only the humanitarian part of the  ceasefire regime. And after collecting the corpses, Azerbaijan will  need to continue the war," he stressed.  On October 10, at 12:00, on  the basis of the agreements reached in Moscow by the foreign  ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the ceasefire regime, declared  for humanitarian reasons, entered into force.  Nevertheless, attacks  by the Azerbaijani army continue. Moreover, not only in the southern  direction of the front line in Artsakh, but also through the UAV in  the direction of the territory of Armenia.

Meanwhile, according to the analyst, even with the most pessimistic  view of the outcome of the 11 hour talks between Yerevan and Baku, it  is clear that the exchange of bodies of the dead is only the first  step.  The second step is the transition, in fact, to negotiations.  Substantial negotiations. However, Cavusoglu, in Safaryan's opinion,  quite lucidly explained to Aliyev that there should not be a second  step, there should only be a continuation of hostilities.

The reaction of the main mediator in the person of Russia, according  to him, is not yet visible. And Aliyev is still trying to maneuver  between Moscow and Ankara. At the same time, in strategic terms, of  course, remaining in the Turkish orbit, including in Ankara's  anti-Russian plans.

According to Safaryan's assessments, as a result of such pressure  from Ankara, Baku has already admitted that it is not going to comply  with the ceasefire regime on the second, still subject to agreement,  item on the Moscow agenda of foreign ministers.

"And finally, the most important thing is the answer to the question  of what Turkey is trying to achieve by such behavior. In Ankara,  apparently, they believe that having divided the Middle East with  Moscow, they have every right to claim the division of the South  Caucasus. And Russia is simply obliged to give Turkey its share . But  Turkey's strategy, of course, does not end with the South Caucasus,  "he stressed.

Recep Erdogan, according to the analyst, has long crossed the red  line in the region and is torn beyond its borders. In this light,  Turkey, in his opinion, today sends terrorists not only to  Azerbaijan. By placing them in the underbelly of Russia, Turkey,  figuratively speaking, is already sending them to the Russian North  Caucasus. According to Safaryan, judging by the reaction of the  Russian expert community, everyone in Moscow can see this very well.  However, at the moment it is not clear how Russia is going to react  to all this.
