ArmInfo. The triple alliance (Azerbaijan-Turkey-terrorists) did not even solve the task set for the first day of the fighting. Chief adviser to the RA Prime Minister, Lieutenant General Vagharshak Harutyunyan stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on October 15.
According to him, when developing any military operation, not only tasks are set, but also deadlines for their implementation. From the first day, the battles unfolded mainly in two directions. In the southern direction, the enemy attempted to cut off the Iranian border and reach the Meghri region of Armenia, while in the north the enemy wanted to break through the defenses and reach the road leading on one side to Stepanakert, on the other to Karvachar, and encircle Karabakh in this way . But the enemy was unable to solve the problem of the first day of battles. This operation, according to Harutyunyan, was planned by Turkey, it corresponded to Ankara's interests in terms of the idea of neo-Ottomanism.
Moreover, Turkey offered Russia to resolve the Karabakh issue according to the Syrian, or rather the Idlib model, by dividing it into zones of control, but Russia resolutely rejected this proposal. Touching upon the battles in Karabakh and the interim results, Harutyunyan added that the plans of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem had completely failed.
Their statements that they are tired of waiting, forgetting about their international obligations to resolve the issue exclusively by peaceful means, are also shameful. But in this particular case, we are talking about a force that is not responsible for international obligations.
