Diplomat: Terrorist attacks in France are Turkey`s "response" to the  attitude towards Armenia and Artsakh

ArmInfo. The terrorist attacks in France and other countries are an indirect "response" of Turkey to the attitude of Europe towards Armenia and Artsakh. The former Deputy  Foreign Minister of Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan expressed a similar opinion to  ArmInfo.

"I think that, of course, the statements of French President Macron  in connection with the Azerbaijani- Turkish aggression against  Artsakh played a role. France is more active than the United States  and Russia in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. All this  together played its role and significance in the selection of targets  for terrorists in France, "he stressed.

According to Navasardyan, in parallel with the general aggravation of  relations between French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish leader  Erdogan, caused by geopolitics, an additional motivator of tension  was the arrogance and outrageous ambition of the Turkish president.  The diplomat is convinced that today Baku and Ankara are pursuing an  anti-Armenian policy in almost all countries of the world. Which, in  his opinion, is another manifestation of hybrid war.

Commenting on the role of Russia in the light of the possible  formation of an anti-terrorist coalition, Navasardyan did not rule  out the possibility of Moscow's participation in such a project,  while stressing that this should not be expected in the near future.  According to him, the fight against terrorism for Russia is  consistent and long-lasting. First of all, against the backdrop of a  clear, accentuated Turkish policy towards creating hotbeds of  terrorism in the Russian Caucasus.  Ankara's such a policy, according  to his estimates, is now directed not only against Armenia or Russia.  It is directed against the entire region, against the civilized  world. In this light, the diplomat is convinced of the need for  active participation in the anti-terrorist coalition of all countries  that have signed the Convention on Combating Terrorism.  "Moscow  today is seriously concerned about the appearance of terrorists on  its borders, their identification already directly on Russian  territory. Therefore, Russian attacks on terrorist clusters in Syria  are by no means accidental. The world today is dealing with a  bloodthirsty, insidious enemy, which must be suppressed by  appropriate harsh measures," Navasardyan summed up.  On October 29, a  Tunisian terrorist armed with a knife attacked people at the Notre  Dame church in Nice, France. Three people were killed. On November 2,  a series of attacks were carried out in Vienna. The number of victims  rose to 4, over a dozen people were injured. One of the attackers,  the neutralized shooter, was a supporter of the Islamic State  terrorist group.
