"Aurora" Coordinates Volunteers Helping Artsakh

ArmInfo. The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative continues to help the people of Artsakh and is pleased to announce that this program is entering a new stage.

During this phase, Aurora's network will connect volunteers willing  to share their time and skills with others and humanitarian  organizations seeking local support, the initiative says. At the same  time, Aurora will continue to directly assist 20 different projects  with a total budget of 102 million AMD ($ 200,000) and conduct the #  AraratChallenge4Artsakh international fundraising campaign.

During its activity, "Aurora" has developed a number of diverse  platforms for finding solutions to the most pressing global problems,  while accumulating unique experience in working with motivated  volunteers.  The initiative also has an impressive contact base of  9,000 people willing to share their time or skills to help Aurora and  her projects. More than 3,000 volunteer applications were submitted  for participation in the Aurora events program in 2018 alone.

When "Aurora" announced the search for volunteers willing to support  the people of Artsakh, about 300 people responded to the call. The  team will now help them connect with the projects listed below.

1. The Bari Mama Foundation needs 10-15 volunteers to package and  purchase gifts, as well as to organize a New Year party for children  from Artsakh. No special skills required.

2. Organization Bruntsk2020 is looking for people willing to help  sort, pack and deliver packages to those in need from Artsakh. No  special skills required.

3. The Apaven volunteer project intends to attract 10-15 volunteers  per week to make basic necessary for soldiers from the front line and  refugees from Artsakh. Volunteers who know how to sew are preferred,  but the project is ready to teach the necessary skills to all those  who responded.

4. The Christmas Miracle for Artsakh initiative needs volunteers  starting December 1st to wrap gifts for children. No special skills  required.

5. Project Hope is looking for volunteers who can help children do  their homework (including remotely), as well as teachers, trauma  professionals, photographers and technical support assistants who are  willing to collaborate on a voluntary basis.
