The ruling faction rejected the candidacy of Artur Kazinyan for the post of deputy head of the Committee on Defense and Security

ArmInfo. The candidacy of the  lawmaker of the opposition "Hayastan" faction Artur Kazinyan was not  approved for the post of chairman of the standing committee on  defense and security on August 31 at a meeting of the profile  commission. According to the head of the specialized committee,  lawmaker of the ruling faction Andranik Kocharian, since according to  the law, the post of deputy head must be occupied by a representative  of the opposition, they will have to present the name of a new  candidate within 5 days. Artur Kazinyan was born on November 10, 1978  in Yerevan.  In 1999 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of YSU. -  Master's degree from the same faculty. In February-June 2003, he  underwent retraining at the Institute of European Law of the Moscow  State Institute of International Relations. Candidate of Legal  Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of European and  International Law of YSU. 1999-2002 - RA Constitutional Court,  specialist of the first category. 2002-2004 - Head of the Department  of External Relations of the Civil Service Council of the Republic of  Armenia. 2004-2008 - Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of the  Republic of Armenia (Minister of Territorial Administration).

Since 2004, lecturer at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of  International Relations of YSU. 2006-2021 - Founding Director of the  Center for European Studies of YSU. Since 2008, he is the head of the  interdisciplinary master's program "European Studies", since 2010 -  the Interdisciplinary Caucasian Regional Master's Program "Human  Rights and Democratization", established with the assistance of the  EU. 2009-2010 - Advisor to the President of the National Assembly of  the Republic of Armenia. Since 2019, the chairman of the One Armenia  party. June 20, 2021 Elected lawmaker of the National Assembly from  the nationwide electoral list of the "Hayastan" ("Armenia") bloc of  parties.
