Relatives of servicemen killed during 44-day war ask Prosecutor  General`s Office of Armenia to hold Pashinyan accountable

ArmInfo. Relatives of servicemen who died during the 44-day war filed a complaint about the crime with the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia. The reason for  the appeal was the statement made by current Prime Minister of  Armenia Nikol Pashinyan from the rostrum of the parliament on April  13 that the war could have been prevented, and the result would have  been the same, but without human losses.

According to Anahit Manasyan, a relative of the deceased serviceman  Hayk Melikyan, they came to the building of the Prosecutor General's  Office to report the crime. "Our sons died on October 12 in the  Juvarlu sector, as a result of an enemy attack. In the country's  parliament on April 13, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan used such  formulations that gives us reason to believe that the large-scale  military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020 was  pushed by Pashinyan, and as a result of abuse of  his official  powers," said Manasyan, who read an excerpt from the text of the  statement, which they intended to submit to the Prosecutor General's  Office.

She also read the paragraph where the prime minister stated that he  could have prevented the fighting, with the same results, but without  casualties.

According to her, in fact, as a result of the inaction of the prime  minister, according to official data, more than 3,800 servicemen and  civilians were killed, more than 100 people were missing, more than  500 servicemen and civilians were captured, 11,000 servicemen and  civilians were injured, and there are territorial losses.  " There  are criminal acts in the actions of the Prime Minister of Armenia,  under a number of articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Taking  into account the abovementioned, the relatives of the dead servicemen  and reservists of the artillery division D20 of the Nth military unit  of the NKR Defense Army submit a motion about the crime committed by  the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, as  well as we submit a motion to initiate a criminal case and conduct a  preliminary investigation, "Manasyan said, while adding that they  expect the case to be taken into account, since Pashinyan's  statements are already confessions of a crime.

Relatives of the dead servicemen and reservists of the D20 artillery  battalion of the Tsor Artsakh military unit gathered in front of the  Prosecutor General's Office. The motion was signed by about 60  relatives and friends of those killed during the war.
