


ArmInfo. Tbilisi highly appreciates Armenia's unqualified support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, which is evidence of bilateral partnership, Georgian FM Ilya Darchiashvili stated at a news conference held jointly with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening the bilateral good-neighborly relations in the rapidly changing geopolitical environment, which will enable the two nations to combine their efforts in meeting challenges and taking opportunities.
"Georgia has always been supportive of peaceful coexistence and cooperation in the South Caucasus," he said.
The two nations have great untapped potential for economic, educational and cultural cooperation.
The sides emphasized the region's transit potential.
"This potential is of critical importance not only for Georgia, but also for Armenia. The sides will promote new transit projects, considering the two states' strategic tasks," the Georgian FM said. In the context of economic cooperation, the sides highlighted the importance of using the available economic potential. Mr Darchiashvili is sure further cooperation will be in line with the best traditions.
The Georgian FM invited Mr Mirzoyan to Tbilisi, stating that his visit would be a good impetus to the bilateral relations.
