Artsakh FM meets advisor to Paris mayor 

ArmInfo. On 27 July, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Sergey Ghazaryan met with  Jean-Yves Camus, adviser to the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.

During the meeting, parties discussed the dire humanitarian situation  resulting from the complete siege of Artsakh. The Minister presented  detailed information on the humanitarian challenges that have emerged  across various critical domains.

Jean-Yves Camus, on behalf of the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo,  expressed concern for the situation and conveyed the Paris Mayor's  position that the Lachin Corridor must be opened immediately and  without any precondition.

Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan thanked the authorities and the  people of France for consistently upholding a courageous and honest  stance on the Artsakh issue.

The parties further discussed potential solutions to address the  humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, as well as the plans of various  French regions and cities to dispatch humanitarian assistance to  Artsakh.

On July 26, Armenia sent 360 tons of humanitarian aid to Artsakh,  however, since yesterday evening, about 20 trucks have been in  Kornidzor and are waiting for permission to pass through the  Kashatagh corridor.  The process is being monitored, including by  representatives of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia.

Against this background, the head of European diplomacy, Josep  Borrell, issued a statement in which he stressed that the Azerbaijani  authorities are obliged to guarantee security and freedom of movement  along the Kashatagh corridor in the near future and prevent further  escalation of the crisis.

So far, negotiations between Russian peacekeepers and the Azerbaijani  side have not yielded results, the enemy side continues the criminal  blockade of Artsakh. Azerbaijan stated that let the people of Artsakh  not hope for the operation of the Stepanakert-Goris road, the game is  over! Baku assured that Armenia in Brussels agreed to use the  Stepanakert-Akna (Agdam) road. The press service of the RA Prime  Minister called this information a lie. The Armenian Foreign Ministry  also stated that the cargoes with humanitarian aid will stand in  Kornidzor, at the entrance to the corridor connecting Armenia and  Artsakh until Azerbaijan opens the road.
