Snoop Dogg concert to cost $6 million for Armenian taxpayer 

ArmInfo.The Armenian government has decided to allocate 2 billion 318 million drams (about $6 million  at the current exchange rate) from the taxpayer's funds for the tour of American rapper Snoop Dogg. "The choice of the artist is due not only to the fact that the latter is in great demand this year in the  world of modern music, but also to the fact that a unique show program will be presented," the Cabinet of Ministers of August 11 says.

American rapper and actor Snoop Dogg will perform at the Hrazdan  stadium in Yerevan on September 23.  The specified amount will be  used to pay the fee to Snoop Dogg, meet the technical requirements of  the artist's team, the cost of security and insurance, provide  high-quality technical equipment and conduct promotional activities.

The project will be implemented by "Doping Space" LLC, which  undertakes to provide the concert with all the necessary equipment,  install it, and conduct an advertising campaign in Armenia and  abroad.  <According to the organization implementing the program, it  is expected that 5-6 thousand tourists from abroad will arrive in  Armenia to participate in the concert. According to the RA  Statistical Committee, an average tourist spends 800-1000 US dollars  in Armenia. Armenia will have the opportunity to enter the  international show business market, equal conditions will be created  for inviting eminent stars to Armenia by more affordable means>, the  explanation to the document says.

At the end of July, the American rapper announced his concert in  Yerevan. Announcing the concert, Snoop Dogg said that the Yerevan  concert won't be a regular gig. "The word on the street is that the  Armenian people got that next level hospitality game. I can't wait to  see you all and celebrate together on September 23rd," the artist  said.
