During an online discussion: "The situation in the Gaza Strip and  possible consequences for the Middle East," organized at the expert  platform of the Analytical Center for Strategic Studies and  Initiatives (ACSIS), Juma responded to ArmInfo's question whether the  escalation of the situation around the Gaza Strip could somehow be  delayed those negative processes that are taking place around Armenia  today, taking into account the fact that Israel is one of  Azerbaijan's key arms partners in the aggression against Artsakh,  Juma expressed the conviction that RA is now not safe, and it is time  for it to stop living cautiously. 

"In general, I think that Armenia is not safe now. It's time for the  Armenian people to abandon the position of constantly looking around:  can this affect us, but maybe Russia will help us, and what if  something happened there, and they will forget us. They will not  forget. The destruction of the Armenian people is a concrete plan.  And those who are developing it may switch for a while, but they will  definitely return to it," the expert noted.

According to him, the liquidation of Armenians physically and  spiritually is what Azerbaijan, Turkey and Israel need. Juma believes  that, in principle, the existence of Armenians is a threat to them.  "Even Armenians who are not armed, but who remember who they are, and  how it all began, bearers of the code, bearers of history are no  longer needed. This greatly interferes with their myth, on which  aggression, and aggressive policy, the unification of Turkic peoples  and countries are based. So ", it turned out that small Armenia, a  small people, weakened, mired in civil strife, in a political and  economic crisis, nevertheless poses an existential threat to the  existence of this pan-Turkic myth, on which the aggressive occupation  policy is based," Juma is convinced.

In this vein, he urged not to experience illusion, once again  emphasizing that the destruction of Armenians, the Armenian factor,  is a concrete plan, and so far everything is going according to plan.

In turn, APRI Armenia researcher, scientific director of the Armenian  Research Foundation Sergey Melkonyan stated that the memory in the  Middle East, of which Armenia is a part, is quite long.

"The same so-called Zangezur corridor was not invented by Azerbaijan.  This is a project of Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century. And  no one abandoned their plans," Melkonyan noted, admitting that the  processes around the Gaza Strip will certainly affect Armenia.

Melkonyan believes that in the current realities, Armenia at a  minimum must evacuate all Armenians living in Israel, which, for  example, it did not do when the war began in Ukraine.

"Armenia may think about maintaining its religious presence in  Jerusalem: putting this issue on the agenda, and not selling off its  already diminishing property," the expert said, adding that the  processes around the Gaza Strip will directly affect Armenia, with  the possible opening of a new front (in the direction Iran - ed.).

He agreed that Azerbaijan was temporarily deprived of its strategic  weapons ally. At the same time, the expert stated that literally on  October 13, regular flights of cargo planes with weapons delivered  from Israel to Azerbaijan were recorded. Melkonyan believes that all  this suggests that it depends on the type of weapons that the AR  needs. "Will they continue to pump Azerbaijan with weapons? Of course  they will!  Now, they will pump Azerbaijan with weapons to confront  Iran," he concluded.
