Team Telecom Armenia supports children from Artsakh

Armenia and the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is expanding to include another educational project. According to the press service of the telecommunications company, the new addition is the TUMO camp.  The participants in the camp have gained various skills and knowledge as well as the opportunity to meet their peers from other countries.  In addition, active cultural and entertainment programs were held for them. 

Thanks to the support of the Team, children from Artsakh also participated in the summer camp this year. 

The Team promotes technological education, and the involvement of Artsakh children in the camp is an important part of these efforts.  "This will give young people the opportunity to develop their digital skills and engage in the technological world", - the source says. 

The initiative was implemented in Yerevan and Dilijan and lasted for five weeks.  Participants changed every week, and the content of the program changed according to their interests. In addition to the educational component, the camp also served as a cultural bridge, providing an opportunity for children from different countries to communicate. The camp was filled with cultural and entertainment components.  Participants were trained in the main areas of the TUMO program:  programming, photography, music, game creation, graphic design, animation, 3D modeling and robotics. They visited historical and cultural sites, museums, took part in sports games, and at the end of the camp  presented their projects. 

According to the source, Team Telecom Armenia and the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies previously signed a memorandum on providing Internet servics to existing TUMO centers and boxes. This provision will extend continuously to encompass all TUMO centers and boxes established within the TUMO Armenia initiative. Furthermore, the memorandum outlines collaboration with the EU-funded TUMO Labs project and the 42 Yerevan programming school. Under this agreement, Team specialists will conduct educational workshops and programs for students involved in these initiatives.
