Azerbaijan to increase defense spending

ArmInfo. According to local media reports, Azerbaijan's state budget for 2025 will see and  increase in defense and security spending. The draft state budget outlines a total of 8 billion 396 million  mantas  allocated for defense and security purposes in the upcoming year.

To fund these expenses, there will be a transfer of 1 billion 700 million manats  from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan to the state budget.  The  structure of expenses for 2025 includes 2 billion 665.2 million for  the armed forces, 467 million 917 thousand for national security, and  540 million 314 thousand manats for the border service. Additionally,  4 billion 717.4 million manats are allocated for other types of  activities related to defense and national security.
