
ArmInfo. According to the results of a poll conducted by the consulting company MPG/ "Proud Cipollino", most respondents in Armenia believe that the Armenian authorities' efforts to rescue Armenian prisoners of war and hostages from Azerbaijani prisons are insufficient.
When asked if the Armenian authorities are making enough efforts to return Armenians to their homeland, only 5.6% of respondents gave a definite affirmative answer, 11.9% - said rather yes, 17.9% - rather no, 39% - definitely no, and another 25.5% found it difficult to answer. Citizens also believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction. When asked whether Armenia is generally moving in the right or wrong direction, 38.8% of respondents said it is moving in the wrong direction, 19.7% - rather in the wrong direction, 14.7% - rather in the right direction, 9.5% - in the right direction, and another 17.2% of respondents found it difficult to answer. At the same time, the most important task facing Armenia, according to respondents, remains the issue of security.
This is the opinion of 39.5% of respondents. 21% named the issue of border clarification, 15.6% - the threat of war, 14% - the economic situation, 9.7% - public transport, and 9.5% - inflation and rising prices. 6.7% found it difficult to answer, and 9.3% gave a different answer. Other issues named included low pensions and salaries, unemployment, high taxes, the need for a change in leadership, the need to strengthen the army, the poor state of education, the issue of returning prisoners, population outflow, and corruption.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted via telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia from January 20 to 22 of this year. The sample size was 1100 with a sampling error +/- 3%.
