RPA Executive Committee: Since 2018, Armenia`s current leadership  has been pursuing a treacherous policy of refusing to  resolve the Artsakh issue

ArmInfo. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unresolved, and after the inevitable change of power in Armenia, the negotiation process must be reinstated on the state's foreign policy agenda, and the actions of the current regime must receive an adequate legal assessment, as noted in the statement of the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

The RPA statement expresses indignation at the policy pursued by the current regime towards Artsakh, in light of the latest statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.  The Republican Party has reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals, principles and goals of the Artsakh movement, while expressing support for the Armenians of Artsakh, including in matters of living in their homeland and protecting their right to self-determination.

The political force pointed out that by effectively annulling the agreements reached in Vienna, St.  Petersburg, and Geneva in 2016-2017, which were considered a diplomatic success for Armenia, the current Armenian authorities have contributed to Azerbaijan's policy of resolving the conflict  through military means and deprived the Armenian side of the previously agreed argument upon with the mediators regarding the introduction of international security mechanisms along the line of contact.

The RPA also noted that the package of new proposals presented by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in 2019 before the war was kept hidden from the Armenian people and continues to be concealed  to this day.  Additionally, the RPA highlighted that during the illegal closure of the Lachin corridor and the blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan, the Armenian authorities failed to make sufficient diplomatic and humanitarian efforts to alleviate the blockade through international pressure and overcome the humanitarian crisis of the Armenians of Artsakh.

According to the Republican Party, the current leadership of Armenia has been pursuing a treacherous policy of refusing to resolve the Artsakh problem since the first day of its rule. "With his criminal inaction, he contributed to the military aggression and genocidal actions of Azerbaijan against the people of Artsakh in September 2023," the RPA emphasized.
