Samvel Karapetyan`s brother: Everything that was said was said  correctly

ArmInfo.. A large crowd has gathered at the house of Samvel Karapetyan, the head of the Tashir Group of Companies and prominent Armenian-Russian businessman.  According to media reports, searches are being conducted in the house and several people have been detained. However, contrary to earlier reports, Samvel Karapetyan is not among those detained.

The fact that the businessman has not yet been arrested was confirmed  in a conversation with journalists by his brother, former member of  the Armenian parliament Karen Karapetyan, who also arrived at his  brother's house. <They did not have time to arrest him, but they will  detain him soon>,  he noted, mentioning that most likely their  relatives, who had gathered there in the morning, were detained by  law enforcement agencies. <We are from Mush, that says it all. We are  ready for anything. Everything that was said (Samvel Karapetyan's  statement condemning the authorities' attacks on the church - ed.)  was said correctly, and even less. I am standing here so that I can  be the first to be arrested, since I have already spoken out, " the  former MP said.

When asked whether searches were currently being conducted in the  house, he noted that he had no idea what was happening inside the  house, as he had been standing  on the street since morning. <Let  them do whatever they want. There is a state. And let the relevant  bodies act solely within the law. Tomorrow everyone will answer for  their actions, and I for mine, > he added.

When asked to comment on the Prime Minister's recent statement about  the alleged detention of Samvel Karapetyan, the former MP noted that  as the son of a teacher, he does not need to use street language like  the Prime Minister did. He also mentioned that he does not pay  attention to or listen to what the Prime Minister is talking about,  as he is busy with his own life and raising his grandchildren. Karen  Karapetyan asked journalists to limit themselves to questions,  assuring that he would make appropriate statements if necessary.
