No calm week in Armenia in last 7 years - expert 

ArmInfo. The fragmentation of the Armenian world is entering a qualitatively new stage, the campaign against the Church is directly proportional to this process.  Political scientist, member of the Alternative Projects Group Vae  Hovhannisyan writes about this in his article.

"We must have the courage to admit that a new stage has begun in  Armenia. We have entered a new stage in our history. This is not a  matter of preference, this is reality. Let us try to understand its  parameters. The number one topic on the domestic agenda will be  detentions, isolation, testimony, false denunciations, lawyers, etc.  for a long time. A disgusting, stinking atmosphere. False  denunciations, directed false testimony: At such stages, mass apathy  is inevitable. In the toxic domestic atmosphere that has formed, we  will leave external processes open. Our domestic agenda will not  allow us to resist external demands, to calculate the risks of the  demands made on us and the ways to resolve them. The fight for our  compatriots held in Baku prisons is becoming extremely difficult.  Azerbaijan will oppose all attempts, all mediations, pointing to  everything that is happening in Armenia. We will distance ourselves  from each other and from the country. Armenia's economy is turning  into North Korea. We are becoming closed country for serious private  investors," the political scientist noted.

He added that if the nationalization program of the Electric Networks  of Armenia CJSC is implemented, foreign political investors will try  to take away systemically important enterprises from Armenia for  pennies. Some will be closed at the request of neighbors, others will  be "nationalized" by other peoples and states. 

"Is there a way out? We must persistently promote the line of  internal solidarity and programmatic thinking. At all times, there  has been no shortage of those who shout "now". But this is not a way  out. Of course, every day, now we must take concrete steps, but with  a clear program and political thought in our heads. This is the only  way to manage all the listed extreme risks and neutralize them.  We  must work hard to achieve results. And the question is, whose results  are important? The country has not had a quiet week for seven years.  I am sure that 90% of Armenian citizens want a quiet, dignified life.  So let's propose, let's show this path ourselves. It is difficult,  since it requires work, resources, rules of coexistence, work  culture, literacy, etc., but we simply have no other way," the  political scientist emphasized.
