Over dozen exhibits of Louvre to be shown in Armenia 

ArmInfo.  At a meeting with the Ambassador of France to the country Olivier Decottignies, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MESC) of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan expressed gratitude to the latter for fruitful  cooperation.

As reported by the press service of the MESCS of Armenia, Andreasyan  also pointed out the friendly and historically strong relations  between Armenia and France, confirming the readiness to expand and  deepen cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture,  youth and sports.

Among the jointly implemented programs, Andreasyan especially  highlighted the program "French as a Foreign Language: Training,  Modernization and Promotion" for teachers of French, implemented  jointly with the French Embassy in Armenia, within the framework of  which about 240 teachers have completed advanced training courses.

The parties also discussed cooperation in the cultural sphere, in  particular, the exhibition "Colors and Light of Armenian  Impressionism" in the famous Barbizon cultural center in France,  where valuable works representing Armenian impressionism from the  collection of the National Gallery of Armenia are presented.  Organizational issues of the exhibition, which will be held jointly  with the Louvre in September 2025 at the History Museum of Armenia,  were also discussed. It is planned to transfer more than a dozen  significant exhibits from the Louvre collection to Armenia in  compliance with all safety regulations.

"We view this cooperation not only as an important cultural event,  but also as an effective means of developing the potential and  professional strengthening of our museums," Andreasyan noted, adding  that the museums of the Republic of Armenia have carried out fruitful  work in organizing international exhibitions in recent years.

In turn, Decottignies expressed gratitude for the constant support of  the initiatives of the French Embassy.  The Ambassador noted that  dynamic, mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation based on mutual  trust and common values has already been established between Armenia  and France. He confirmed France's readiness to continue making  efforts to deepen cooperation, implement new initiatives and  strengthen bilateral partnership for the benefit of both peoples.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also  discussed, particularly regarding the activities of the French  University in Armenia, the French Educational Complex named after  Anatole France, as well as the development of teaching French as a  foreign language in general education schools of the Republic of  Armenia.
