Kazakh president on official visit to Turkiye 

ArmInfo. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is on an official visit to Turkey.

According to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, upon  arrival in Ankara, Tokayev held a brief conversation at the airport  with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"I would like to thank you for your hospitality. It is a great honor  for me that you specially came to the airport for the meeting. There  are no contradictions between our countries. We are connected not  only by friendship, but also by fruitful cooperation. Tomorrow we  will have important talks," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Today in Ankara, the head of Kazakhstan has already held a number of  talks aimed at further strengthening the Kazakh-Turkish expanded  strategic partnership.

According to the press service of the head of Kazakhstan, Tokayev  discussed in Ankara with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of S  Sistem Lojistik Huseyin Barlin the prospects for establishing a  mutually beneficial and long-term partnership with the company in the  field of logistics.

S Sistem Lojistik is a leading Turkish innovative organization in the  field of logistics. It manages a network of warehouses with a total  area of 100 thousand square meters at the airports of Istanbul,  Ankara, Izmir and Antalya, as well as in other places.

The head of state noted that work has begun on the comprehensive  development of the Middle Corridor in order to turn Kazakhstan into a  leading transit hub in Eurasia.

Tokayev also supported the initiative of S Sistem Lojistik to create  a logistics center at Aktobe International Airport. The project is  being implemented jointly with Kazpost JSC. The President noted the  importance of the integrated development of logistics infrastructure,  which will reduce transit times and improve export opportunities.

In turn, Barlin spoke about the work carried out within the framework  of the project, noting that in the future the company plans to expand  its business in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and Aktau.

On the same day, Tokayev received the Chairman of the Board of YDA  Holding Hussein Arslan and received information about the investment  activities of YDA Holding in Kazakhstan.

Arslan told the President about the company's plans to create a  multimodal transit hub in Aktau. In addition, he informed that the  diversified Turkish group is working on three projects for the  construction and operation of multidisciplinary hospitals in  Turkestan, Astana and Petropavlovsk. The company plans to begin  expanding the multi-profile production of YDA Industrial Park and  building a sandwich panel plant in Astana in the near future.

The President of Kazakhstan also received Suleyman Tiryakioglu, CEO  of Tiryaki Holding. The company is one of the world leaders in the  production and export of grain, oilseeds and feed.

The meeting discussed mutually beneficial and long-term partnership  in the agro-industrial sector, as well as the development of  effective logistics for the transportation of Kazakhstani  agricultural products, digitalization of warehouse infrastructure and  modernization of elevators.

The head of Kazakhstan welcomed the company's decision to build a  plant for deep processing of wheat and peas in Astana.

Tiryakioglu noted that this project will contribute to the  development of the processing industry of our country, the  introduction of modern technologies and the improvement of the skills  of local specialists.
