ArmInfo. "I would like to congratulate you all on the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a result of the declaration signed in Washington on August 8," RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a government meeting on August 21.
He also thanked all members of the cabinet for the work done during this time.
Pashinyan said that before leaving for Washington, discussions and analysis of the texts were held with the participation of the government, the expanded composition of the Security Council, the President of Armenia, members of the ruling Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly and heads of regions. "Before leaving for Washington, I invited them so that we could hold consultations, discuss and analyze the texts. And we came to the conclusion that this step must be taken," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, the Prime Minister pointed out, this is not a summary of their work, but its beginning. "I am convinced that with this step we have entered a new development agenda, a new dimension of development. And here the content and energy of our work must be higher. The efficiency of our work must be higher. There is a lot of work ahead. This is constructive, peaceful, creative work. And we must all be as focused as possible on this work," Pashinyan added.
He stressed the importance of public communication so that citizens understand what the government is doing and why it is doing it. "Even the greatest achievements are problematic if the genesis of these successes is not clear to the public," the head of the Cabinet noted.
Nikol Pashinyan wished all members of the government success in this "new, creative stage of institutionalization of peace."
