ArmInfo. All state bodies of Armenia will be required to return the property they currently use for free, with the condition of receiving it for rent in the future. The Chairman of the State Property Management Committee, Arnak Avetisyan, made this statement during a session of the parliamentary commission on economic issues on September 2. He was presenting a package of bills suggesting amendments to the Law "On State Non-Commercial Organizations".
According to Avetisyan, this reform will ensure greater transparency of budget expenditures and improve property management efficiency. He noted that this model is used in many developed countries worldwide. All state bodies and state organizations have been given a deadline of the end of 2027 to return of property they currently use for free, with the possibility of entering into new lease agreements thereafter.
The package of bills was approved by the NA committee and will be discussed during the plenary session.
