ArmInfo. The charges against Torgom Asatryan, a defendant in the case of the beating of Ararat Mirzoyan, have been reclassified from attempted murder to mass riots. Alexander Kochubayev, Torgom Asatryan's lawyer, shared this information on his Facebook page. "This means that Asatryan has nothing to do with the attempted murder of Mirzoyan-something the pretrial investigation authorities only dreamed of. The defense also disagrees with this verdict and plans to appeal it.
The political situation forces us to understand this verdict, which, in a sense, is also a success. I advise Ararat Mirzoyan to seek out those who beat him within his inner circle...When accusations and political interests are intertwined, the truth often blurs," Kochubayev added.
