ArmInfo.Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the "Our Way" movement, has responded to the statement made by Romanos Petrosyan, interim manager of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, regarding the high salaries of former executives at the company.
Specifically, Petrosyan has noted in his publication that the former chairman of the company's board of directors received a total of 347,585,000 drams in salary, with his salary reaching 70-73 million drams at times. "The astronomical remuneration of the former CJSC executives had a direct or indirect impact on the electricity tariff for the population," the interim manager noted.
In response, Narek Karapetyan recalled that he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENA nine months ago. "I refused my salary from the very first day and haven't received a single dram from ENA for nine months. My salary, which I should have been receiving, was instead redirected to the company's budget to pay bonuses to lower-paid energy system employees. Please, when presenting the 'facts,' don't present them in a way that misleads people," the movement's coordinator noted.
