At the invitation of the Government of India, the Government of Goa, and the UN Office in India, Zaruhi Batoyan, Member of the Armenian National Assembly, participated in the international festival "Purple Fest 2025," which took place from October 9 to 12. The festival's goal is to promote inclusivity and accessibility.
As reported by the NA press service, as Speaker, the Armenian MP participated in panel discussions on the political participation of people with disabilities, universal design, and accessibility of healthcare services. During the discussions, Batoyan presented Armenia's experience, touched on the legislative framework governing this area, and the challenges the country faces.
The MP emphasized the need to ensure the continuity of inclusivity and accessibility processes, as well as the importance of exchanging experiences at the local and international levels. The festival included exhibitions, cultural programs, demonstrations of assistive technologies and innovative solutions, as well as various entertainment events.
