ArmInfo. The REAnimania International Animation Film and Comics Arts Festival has pleasantly surprised Armenian visual art enthusiasts with an exhibition featuring works by Lorenzo Mattotti, now open at the Cinema House.
Matotti is a world-renowned Italian artist, illustrator, author of graphic novels, and animation director, one of the most significant visual artists of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The exhibition showcases approximately 100 of the artist's works, including advertising posters, official posters for the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival, greeting cards for the Paris City Hall, illustrations for Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven," the graphic poem "In the Water," Carlo Collodi's fairy tale "Pinocchio," a series of graphic works "Ghosts," and more.
Notably, Lorenzo Mattotti also has designed the poster for the 17th REAnimania. The festival will feature a rendezvous with the Italian artist (October 24, 3:00 PM, at the AGBU), as well as a presentation of his book "Fires and Murmur," translated into Armenian (October 25, 7:00 PM, Cinema House).
