Armenian brandy factory transferred to Pernod Ricard before Nikol  Pashinyan`s premiership - NA speaker 

ArmInfo.  It turns out that Russia is very concerned about the fate of Armenian brandy, or more precisely, the salvation of the very name "brandy." This was written by Alen Simonyan, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, in his microblog in the X section, responding to a  publication by Russian designer Artemy Lebedev.

Artemy Lebedev criticized Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  after his statement that Armenian producers have no right to use the  name "brandy." Lebedev noted that Pashinyan "sold his opinion very  cheaply" and effectively abandoned a brand that "has been produced in  Armenia its entire life." The designer emphasized that "Armenian  brandy is such a brand that the French should also get permission  from the Armenians." He also criticized the Armenian prime minister  for agreeing to abandon the drink's traditional designation "for a  couple of million euros."

"It turns out that Armenia's elected Prime Minister Pashinyan is to  blame for everything. As propagandist Artemy Lebedev claims, citing  RIA Novosti as I understand it, 'Pashinyan decided to sell his  opinion very cheaply,' and 'Pashinyan just went and sold his opinion  for a couple of million euros and is banning brandy production in his  own country,'" he comments. How can we explain to this media midget  that the name "brandy" is something long licensed, and selling a  product with such a name outside Armenia is simply impossible? How  can we hint to this character, who sells his opinions at great  expense, that the Armenian Brandy Factory cannot produce its product  according to the "Dobraya Kola" principle-only for the domestic  market. "How can I remind him that Armenia's brandy factory was  transferred to the French company Pernod Ricard long ago, even before  Pashinyan, and, as he puts it, only he and everyone else who sticks  their non-Armenian noses into our country's affairs should be sent to  hell," the NA speaker emphasized.

In his postscript, he indicated that the next time Lebedev attends a  Zemfira concert in Yerevan or any other so-called foreign agent, I  suggest he also make sure to visit the Yerevan brandy factory.
