MP: While society discusses various episodes of  44-day war,  most  high-ranking military officials remain silent

ArmInfo.  While Armenian society discusses various episodes of the 44-day war and seeks answers, the overwhelming majority of high-ranking military  officials familiar with its decisions and details remain silent, as  noted by Tigran Abrahamyan, a parliament member from the opposition  "With Honor" faction, in a post on his Facebook page.

Furthermore, as the opposition member pointed out, some of them have  approached the commission established by the current authorities or  even have shown willingness to do so, but have not considered it  necessary to address these issues publicly. Among those who have  chosen to remain silent, Jalal Harutyunyan was sent to prison as a  "reward." Many others are currently under investigation for various  criminal cases, yet only a few servicemen who are aware of this have  spoken out, and even then their statements have been very limited.

"Those who sit silently at home, waiting their turn in prison, have  only one option: to tell the truth and, to some extent, help ease the  deep pain that pervades society. By continuing to maintain a strange  silence, they enable the authorities' insolence and conceal real  crimes," the deputy noted.
