Pashinyan: Current opposition in Armenia  no longer rival to   government

ArmInfo. All discussions of "former" leaders must end, especially since there is nothing left to discuss, as stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan during government hour in the National Assembly on December 3.

He stated that after the release of the package of documents on the  Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, all discussions on this topic have been  exhausted. Pashinyan noted that over the past five years, no details  have been left undisclosed. "The package provided answers to all  questions. However, one shouldn't be surprised that there is an   ongoing debate among the opposition, which s previously held power.  Since 1998, there has been a public debate about national interests  being above constitutional norms. When we say that the Motherland is  the state, they claim that the current authorities want to pit the  Motherland against the state.  Their ideology was to leave the state  aside and focus on anything but the state," the Prime Minister said.

He noted that the current government, for quite a long time, has been  guided by the same principle by inertia. The strategy of the current  Armenian authorities recognizes the existence of numerous critical  issues: national, historical, cultural, and humanitarian. However, as  Pashinyan emphasized, national interests and the state must be at the  center. This does not mean that other issues are not important; it  means that the state and national interests are paramount. The Prime  Minister noted that the opposition, including the parliamentary one,  which came to the National Assembly with an agenda of government  change, is no longer a rival to that government.
