


ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the Sacred Music Festival in the village of Aruch in the Aragatsotn region, organized to celebrate Christmas. The event, which featured the Talin Music School Choir and the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, took place at St. Gregory Church.
According to the press service of the head of the Armenian government, the goal of the festival is to promote the preservation and dissemination of national spiritual and cultural values.
The Prime Minister also visited pavilions set up in the area adjacent to the church, where traditional dishes and products from the Aragatsotn region were on display.
Pashinyan previously proposed playing the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia in churches and raising the national flag of the Republic of Armenia.
As a reminder, according to the Constitution, Armenia is a secular state, where church and state are separate. At the same time, the <exclusive mission> of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) in preserving national identity is recognized.
